The Cryopod to Hell: Classic

The Cryopod to Hell Classic is the original version of TCTH, written based on the original writing prompts, expanded into a full series, with 490 chapters of fun adventures. However, it is extremely flawed, with paper thin characters and plotlines that don’t resolve properly. It abruptly ends at the finale of Route C, and was never finished with a proper ending. Classic is best read after Refresh so you can appreciate where the story came from. As its own story, Classic has too many flaws for anyone to recommend reading first.

  • Part 247a

Today was a good day. Unable to think of a good way to use my power against the Volgrim attack force directly, I instead opted to simply clone drone bombers and fighters over and over, each piloted by a human controller on the Moon Base. Each time a drone was destroyed, the human would take…

"Why are these primitives so resilient? We nullified their railgun attacks and yet they’re still shredding us to pieces. How are they doing it?" Founder Dosena scowled at the display as another ship came under a barrage of fire and fell to pieces in a blaze of fire. "2,500 of our ships are left, and…

I hovered my hand over the display wordlessly as the Volgrim ships came into view, thousands at once. I’ve been prepping for this for a long time now. Initial sensors reported that there would be about ten thousand ships. Turns out they were wrong. In fact, there’s close to thirty thousand. Interestingly, there aren’t very…

"The Newton Engine is complete? That was fast work." I’m actually kind of impressed. I expected it would take another year or two, but this was unprecedented. "You and your team did good work, Mister…?" "Jorgensen. Samuel Jorgensen. A pleasure to meet the man who brought us into the Fusion Age." He jerks his hand…

  • Part 242a

The pain never ends. For ten years now, I’ve borne this terrible agony not just on my face, but in my heart. Earth, while peacefully rebuilding their army and increasing the expanses of their space navy, has finished building the first major colony on Mars. It turns out most of my terraforming went to waste,…

Naturally, Helen was quite surprised to hear that Harold was still alive, even sound in mind, though I warned her that like herself, he had undergone a change of his own. "So, Helen can come back with me to the Mothership?" I turned and spoke to the one who had apparently found her, who happened…

Uzziel had her hands clasped together and she swung them back and forth in front of herself as we again walked towards the Great Temple of Heaven. "I see. We had no idea the casualties were so many." "Thirty million humans. Why did the angels not aid us?" I shuffled along with my left hand…

  • Part 239a

Satan sat on the steppes of the terrace and watched as Belial fenced against another of the female demons. The two girls jabbed their foils back and forth, riposting and parrying each others attacks deftly, and while they were quite good, Belial was clearly the better of the two since she was also able to…
