The Cryopod to Hell: Classic

The Cryopod to Hell Classic is the original version of TCTH, written based on the original writing prompts, expanded into a full series, with 490 chapters of fun adventures. However, it is extremely flawed, with paper thin characters and plotlines that don’t resolve properly. It abruptly ends at the finale of Route C, and was never finished with a proper ending. Classic is best read after Refresh so you can appreciate where the story came from. As its own story, Classic has too many flaws for anyone to recommend reading first.

  • Part 018

I walked calmly up to the golden door. The sounds of banging and scratching, neighing and blood-curdling screaming could all be heard. If I didn’t know better, I’d say they were planning a party for my arrival. I smirked at the thought of what was to come next. But then I faltered. Looking at the…

  • Part 016

I stared at Hoarhiim’s orb blankly. "What do you mean? Isn’t this Earth?" Hoarhiim started to say something but Blaarjiim cut him off. "We’re not allowed to tell you that. Tell us how you know of that word!" I stared blankly at Blaarjiim. "What are you talking about? I’m from Earth, and isn’t this place…

From behind me, only somewhat distant, came a sound. A sound of thousands of screams, cries, and moans. A sound like a million warhorses charging down the corridor. "Uh, uh, Hoarhiim? W-what the hell is that?" "Oh, hm. That would be the riders, I suppose." "Come again? The Riders?" "Yes, Child of Gaia. The Riders…

  • Part 014

The voice falters. "Are… you denying me?" "Yeah." I say plainly. "You can piss off. I want to go back home, go to sleep, eat pizza, and never think about this place ever again." The voice fills with contempt. "You are a fool. All have accepted my offer and ended up in positions of power…

  • Part 013

I have two choices now. Somehow, I have looped back around to my original starting location. There is probably a statue monster in this area. But the door that got me here did not exist before. This place defies the laws of known physics. Somehow, and this sounds absurd, the structure of this place must…

  • Part 012

The smell is sickening. How long has this room been here? I stifle my gag reflex and use all my willpower to force chunks of chicken back down my throat. I don’t ever want to eat meat again after seeing this sight. The smell of death is thick here, though definitely not fresh. The blood…

  • Part 011

I wake up quickly. I slept all "night" (If such a thing exists in this place) with the orb buried under several layers of mattress so that the light wouldn’t keep me awake. Waking up, I notice the room is very dark, though the light is still so bright that it slightly gives the room…

  • Part 010

The food was hearty and filling. It was also icy cold and hard at first, but apparently I can create fire out of my palm. Interesting, I’m a wizard now, apparently. If only my name was Harry. After checking the other three doors in this room, I confirmed they all led to other perfectly normal…

  • Part 009

The orb illuminates the hallway around me, though it probably wouldn’t be very necessary given that the glowing rocks embedded in the wall are doing a fine job of that. The hallway is surprisingly short, maybe a walk of two city blocks, when I arrive at a small, unimposing door. Naturally, the weird writing is…
