A young man named Jason Hiro is depressed and feels as if his life is aimless, thus he volunteers to enter a cryogenics program so his body will at least be useful for science. He wakes up 100,000 years in the future, only to discover that humanity has gone nearly extinct, the humans who remain are all slaves, and the slave masters are the Demons. Humans are nothing more than chattel for their new overlords.
Demons now rule the galaxy, but Jason discovers he has a unique power called Wordsmithing, a magic which descends from the legends of King Arthur and Solomon, one that can rewrite the fabric of reality based on his imagination and cast by speaking a single Word of Power.
