Part 042

Byklokinator

A bolt of lightning flew past my head. It missed me by inches.

" Barrier! " I yelled this and a magic barrier surrounded Amelia, who was taking the fight head-on. Just in the nick of time too, as a fireball glanced off and melted into the scorched earth, dissipating harmlessly.

Aiming at my body, I yelled again. " Rock! ", instantly my body gained a hardened earthen armor. This would nullify electricity for sure. As the Crown had told me, the laws of physics did indeed apply here, but energy and thought projection were merely twisted in a unique way, allowing one to bend the rules using sheer willpower.

"We need reinforcements!" The enemy cowered behind their massive castle walls.

"Your walls will not avail you!" I aimed a hand at one of their trebuchets. " MISSILE! " An actual missile, created from my imagination, that resembled a Stinger missile from my own world, flew at the trebuchet. The person manning it leaped off the side, just in time as it erupted in a fiery blast.

The enemy was panicking. Amelia licked her lips, as her sword of darkness sliced through yet another foe. "Hero! The time is upon us! Use it!"

I lifted my sword, the mighty Excalibur! Aiming it towards the heavens I shouted again.

"METEOR!!!!"

From the cloudy sky that poured down rain, a massive rock suddenly appeared. Aimed at the castle under siege, it began a rapid descent. The clouds parted and the rain ceased as a beam of sunlight broke through, blinding the defenders.

"You think a puny rock will be the death of me?!" The mighty Devil Emperor, Satan, stood at the top of the castle. "Behold my unholy power!"

Making some admittedly fancy hand motions, he suddenly summoned a massive Earth Golem, towering above the battlefield, built from the stone bricks that made up the castle itself. His troops cheered as the Golem reared back, and punched upwards, just in time to smash into the descending meteor. I smiled. All according to plan.

The power of the impact shattered both of them into a million pieces, the debris rained down on the battlefield, rocks smashing into my troops and Satan’s troops alike. Satan looked down and suddenly realized the mistake he’d made. The golem had been formed out of the mighty walls of the Necropolis. Now there gaped a titanic hole for my troops to pour through.

Aiming my hands at my feet, I yelled again. " Agility! " Before Satan could get his bearings, I leaped into the sky, aiming my trajectory right at the Devil himself. "This will be your end, Devil!"

Sheating my sword in midair, I pulled my hands behind my body, and began to chant.

" Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee… "

Satan shook with fear. "Who is this Hero that he could break through my defenses so easily?!" Many of his demonic generals nearby begin to edge away from him in fear as they realized I was aiming at him.

" HAAAAAAAAA-MEEEEEEEEEEEE- "

Satan screamed in terror. "Protect me!!!"

Instead, his troops fled. None could defend against this attack. Many threw themselves from the walls to the grounds below, killing themselves in fright.

"-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

I rose out of bed with a start. Damnit. That was a good dream.

          1. For some reason, my knee jerk reaction told me the story was over. I was sad. I’m glad to see after my knee jerking subsided that I’m an idiot and you’re going to continue 😀

    1. I mean, he is basically a protagonist from our exact modern day who has lived a totally normal life like any average reader would, so it’s only natural!

  9. I never hoped so much like i do now for someone to be in hell. I hope it’s not over and it’s just a dream in the year one hundred million and not in the present.
    it’s the best thing thar came out of any WP. Ever

  15. I was on part 26 a couple of hours ago and I skipped ahead just to see how long the story was. I scrolled to the bottom and saw it ended here. Then, unintentionally, I read the last line.

    I screamed internally. After some debate I decided to keep reading at 26, hoping that I had read that last line wrong, that it would all make sense. Finally, I made it to this part again. I saw that I was not wrong. It was all just a dream. I was about to start typing profanities and cursing your bloodline, and then… I saw that where once there was nothing, there was now a link.

    Part 43.

    Thank you for not letting it end like that. I might have exploded into a flaming ball of pure anger.
